As well as running my VA business for 15 years, employing a team of up to 20 assistants, I was also a professional singer for over 30 years, band leader, manager and arranger.  As my VA business was decimated after lockdowns, so too was the music industry in Scotland, with restrictions and closures that many working musicians never recovered from.  I still gig for pleasure these days, but to nowhere near the degree I did pre-2020.

 

In addition to my professional office and music businesses, as I had experience looking after a family member, I also trained and became a Carer for the elderly.  I still have one or two longstanding elderly clients that I still see and look after.  I feel deep connections with the people I work with and it's just my nature to want to help.

So you see, I've come full circle and landed where I'm supposed to be from the end of 2023 onwards - helping people achieve highly personalised ceremonies using my celebrant training, personal mentorship, empathy and listening skills, as well as my decades of business experience, organisational and people skills and a natural ability to bring your story to life.
